In 1982, Dooie Leach joined the family business, founded by his father, Alfred Leach, Sr. He served as FCI’s Business Manager and Manager of the Fertilizer Division, taking over leadership of the company after his father’s death in 1988. 

Dooie earned a B.S. in Agricultural Economics from North Carolina State University and an M.B.A. from Elon College. He also completed leadership development programs offered by the National Cotton Council and Phillip Morris Agricultural. A strong advocate for farmers, agribusiness and environmental integrity, Dooie is involved with a number or industry organizations.

John’s diverse responsibilities at FCI include helping clients solve practical problems on the farm, decrease input costs and increase yields through comprehensive management programs. With eight years of field experience in soil/crop fertility management and crop protection, he is able to provide solutions that utilize precision agriculture such as soil and tissue sampling, data analysis, and custom prescriptions to insure crop success.

John earned his B.S. in Agricultural Science from NC State University. He also holds an Agricultural Business Management and Sales Certificate from Bayer Crop Science.

Joining the company in 2013, David serves as salesman and agronomist. His role at FCI includes customizing fertilizer, seed and pesticide products for specific uses and working as a field agronomist, helping farmers solve problems to be more profitable. Currently, he is also a Board Member and Advisor for the SE Strawberry Board, a member of the Lee County Area Farmers group, and a Soil and Water Supervisor for Lee County. Prior to joining FCI, David served as a  Regional Agronomist with the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and as an Agricultural Extension Agent with the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service.

David earned his Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy and his Master’s in Field Crops from North Carolina State University.

Since joining FCI in 2012, Greg has served as Manager of our Liquid Fertilizer Blending Plant. He is responsible for maximizing operational efficiencies and product quality. Overseeing sales and inventories, he coordinates with sales reps and FCI staff to help ensure the quality, accuracy and on-time delivery of customer orders. Greg’s extensive experience includes working in production and supervisory positions with Burlington Industries, Eaton Corporation and Murphy Brown. 

Greg has completed training and earned a number of certificates for quality improvement in areas that include Six Sigma, safety, and human resources management.

The leader behind FCI’s Dry Fertilizer Division in Parkton, Trey has been part of the FCI team for six years, serving in various capacities. As Plant Manager, he oversees every facet of our dry fertilizer operations. From procurement practices to precision manufacturing, he ensures that FCI fertilizer blends consistently meet and exceed the highest industry standards. Trey’s commitment to quality is unwavering, ensuring that our products deliver the best results for our clients.

Josh joined FCI in 2012 as Manager for our Parkton Dry Fertilizer Plant. He is currently the Manager for our Seed and Crop Protection products. He’s responsible for helping us achieve our environmental, safety, agronomic yield improvement, and revenue goals for this product sector. Prior to joining FCI, he served as Account Manager for Healthcare Services and Route Manager for Waste Management, Inc. 

A graduate of Appalachian State University, with a B.S. in Marketing, Josh also earned his M.B.A. from St. Andrews University.  He served on the Board of Directors of the Plant Food Association of North Carolina and is currently a member of the FCI Board of Directors.

Keith has been a key member of our team for more than three decades. He joined the company in 1989 after serving as a Farm Manager for Stout Enterprise and operating his own transport service. Currently, as FCI’s Application Service Manager, he coordinates our custom application, irrigation and other agricultural services.   

Keith is a long-time resident of Hoke County. He has strong connections to the farming community in southeastern North Carolina, with a keen understanding of the land and crop requirements for successful yields in the region.

Currently serving as Sales Manager, Aaron has been with FCI, in various capacities, since 2015. He has an extensive background in agricultural and horticultural production, including ten years of on-farm crop production experience. He is also proficient in Precision Agriculture Technology.

Aaron earned his AAS in Landscape Gardening from Sandhills Community College and is a  Certification Plant Professional with the North Carolina Nursery & Landscape Association.

Joining FCI in 2023, Chad serves as a salesman and crop advisor. He is an experienced leader in the farming industry with nearly 30 years of management and sales experience. His role at FCI includes developing custom fertilizer blends, recommending seed and pesticide products for specific uses and working with farmers to solve problems to be more profitable. Prior to joining the FCI team, Chad successfully managed a 17,000 ton fertilizer warehouse in Robeson County.

Chad earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Plant Food Association of North Carolina.

Danny joined FCI in 2014 as Credit Manager, responsible for all credit functions and financial reporting. He has prior experience as a Senior Staff Accountant for Rocco Turkeys and as Area Office Manager, providing accounting and administrative functions for United States Cold Storage facilities in a tri-state area. 

A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Danny earned a B.S. In Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

A valuable member of the FCI team since 1996, Sheila oversees all our accounting functions, including financial statements, general ledger, bank accounts, payroll, and sales and tonnage taxes. Prior to joining FCI, she was a staff accountant for local CPA firms and worked in the accounting departments at Tarheel Turkey Hatchery and Medsouth.

Sheila earned a B.S. in Business Administration and an additional B.S. in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
